Waves For Water
Waves For Water works on the front-line to provide clean water to communities in need around the world. Clean water is the fundamental building block for a healthy society. People living in impoverished areas die every day from drinking dirty water. While having access to clean water is a luxury that many of us take for granted, there are millions living in nations with no filtration systems in place. Providing clean water to those in need is the first step to revitalizing a healthy planet.
Operation Amped
To give back to those who've been wounded in service to our country by teaching them to surf and sharing our love of the ocean. Soldiers putting their lives on the line for our well-being is altruism at its best. Now it’s time we return the favor by spreading the love of surfing to the warriors who give us the freedom to continue doing what we love.
The Jimmy Miller Foundation
JMMF is currently the largest provider of Ocean and Surf Therapy programming in the world. Under the initial leadership and direction of Dr. Carly Rogers, JMMF literally wrote the manual that serves as the de facto guide for conducting Ocean/Surf Therapy around the world today. JMMF has continued to refine the operations manual, implement additional safety measures and introduce new populations that have suffered from some form of mental and/or physical trauma to the healing power of the ocean.
Waves Of Impact
Waves of Impact is dedicated to providing individuals facing exceptional challenges with the opportunity to experience the exhilaration of riding waves, while also focusing on building and rebuilding confidence in those who need it most.
Families with children who have special needs often encounter extraordinary obstacles, resulting in social isolation. Our surfing and beach experiences are designed to cater to the entire family, providing an opportunity for individuals and families to connect and form supportive friendships.
Waves of Impact also dedicates itself to providing surfing experiences for wounded veterans, recognizing the healing power of the ocean and the importance of serving those who have served our country.
Urban Surf 4 Kids
We serve foster youth, and children living in kinship and adoptive care and we are using the power of surf and Ohana, “our family”, to empower youth who have experienced complex trauma to become independent adults, leaders in the community, and champions for the environment.
With the help of donors, supporters, community and business partners, a legion of volunteers and even our own alumni leaders, we are catching waves and changing lives.
Surfer's Healing
We take kids with autism surfing. We paddle out together on tandem boards to catch the waves that come our way. That's what we do; that's what we love.
On the surface, our contribution seems simple: each year, our volunteer-staffed camps give over 4,500 children with autism and their families a fun, engaging day at the beach.
But go deeper, and you'll see that a quiet revolution is taking place. Through the simple act of riding waves together, we're defying the status quo.
When we help kids get up on a board, we're challenging preconceived notions of capability. When we encourage participants to dive in, we're empowering them to engage with the world. And when we ride the waves together, we're affirming that every person is a gift.
